Bringing a kind of anxious energy, Phase Distorter’s sound blends punk and shoegaze while incorporating garage rock, surf rock, and jazz elements. Inspired by the nostalgia of 90’s wrestling deathmatches, legendary rodeo bulls, and Greek myths, they deliver varied sets featuring walls of sound, hazy riffs, and arcane lyrics. Phase Distorter will have you Psi Rockin, howling at the moon, and lamenting the inevitability of urban sprawl.

Phase Distorter was born from Cap, a solo project too ambitious to be contained by just one man. Formed in the autumn of 2022 and making their debut the following spring, they HAVE TAKEN THE KC METRO AREA BY STORM, establishing themselves as a fixture in Crossroads and North Kansas City, Missouri. They have been making the rounds and supporting fellow local acts in the KCMO punk/alt scene while also making waves in the neighboring underground scenes of Lawrence and Columbia.
